Maison de la Roche is a luxuriously refurbished house on the ramparts of the beautiful, medieval village of Domme (classified as One of the Most Beautiful Villages of France) and in one of the prettiest but quiet lanes. Being on the ramparts, there are wonderful views over the countryside from the house and its lovely garden but the restaurants, bars, shops and beautiful environment of the village are on your doorstep.
There is private parking for two cars within the grounds of the house (very rare in Domme!). The swimming pool is heated and is for the exclusive use of the party staying in the house.
There are three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. One has a superking bed, the second has a king size bed and the third has a king size bed plus a single. We do not accommodate more than 6 people plus babies. (Cots and highchairs are provided.)
There is a living room with a huge “walk-in” fireplace, a large, well equipped kitchen with a dining area, a library and a games room with table tennis, etc. The library has a huge collection of DVDs and hardback books – including children’s books – as well as maps and guides for the local area. If you’re a student of history there are many volumes on the history of the area, the Hundred Years War and so on.
There are also one or two amusing surprises!
Outside there is a terrace with BBQ and table and chairs for al fresco dining and, of course, the secluded heated pool and sunbathing area in the pretty garden.
The house is well equipped:
• Washing machine
• Double oven
• Induction hob
• 2 TVs
• DVD player
• Satellite TV
• Wi-fi broadband
• Gas BBQ
